Bro, it is fun! Don’t litter this stop you if you know you have an idea you believe in. Many sho have successful apps out there have a different kind of thinking and will never look at an app like this. I understand what he’s trying to say, but go all in!
Nope native will always win. But don’t think just because you’re a native app dev you’re there. Wrong again. Top native apps combine complex architecture from cloud services, databases, caching, authentication, networking (load balancing + waf), logging and more. You shouldn’t build a mobile app if you’re planning on building anything that can scale unless you 100% know everything I just stated.
The only reason to create this video is for views and click bait. Build an app guys, if you really have a deep purpose and the final format is to deliver that purpose to your clients then go for it!
Not having an app for a social media makes little sense. I got that it's not the same as creating a website, much harder but you can't just stick to that
I disagree, because people, especially the young are more on their phones than they are on a PC or MAC. So it would make more sense to use a mobile app more than a web app, or if you want, do both to accommodate for all possible users.
While I understand where you're coming from, having the ability to write a native application for a mobile device will go a long way in helping developers understand what deploying to a native client will give you. I have an application that would be perfect for the airline industry, but all my planning is going into a native development and deployment. Having your app in a browser can introduce elements that (IMHO) some end users could find annoying.
I disagree. Being a native mobile developer there is a lot which web cannot do in terms of UX experience and other stuff like native api access( maps, core graphics, bluetooth, sensors, ML and many more, offline capabilities). Even cross platform lags behind.
Or… you can just build a react native app and deploy it to the Web as well as the mobile. Mobile apps, especially if you have some sqlite (which is not quite supported on the web) can also work offline and just sync with the backend asyncronously when the Internet is available
Video will come for why you SHOULD build an app 🙂 so don’t think I hate you
Depends on the problem. Web vs app are tools and their use differs depending on the problem.
Buidling mobile apps natively is fun…. Unless all you know is Javascript… I have worked natively in both Android and iOS…
To all the Experts in the comments, I say one word:
Figma
What if there is a need for an application for use when you don't have web access…. maybe a web application isn't the way to go.
Translation: i don’t want any competition so stop

You can’t be a professional and be serious about this…
I have an amazing game ready to go but all the methods to turn my code into an apk is such a pain in the balls
watched it twice and still dont get why i shouldnt build a mobile app xD matter fact i am off to build several now.

very inaccurate. also, hybrid apps are an option if you really want web apps running on mobile, but it's so much slower than native.
Not having an app for a social media makes little sense. I got that it's not the same as creating a website, much harder but you can't just stick to that
This is incredibly misinformative
Shitty advice, apps have better retention, and being able to send notifications aren't some small feature.
Nah build mobile apps guys, especially using thing like react native, makes it easier to put to the web anyway (to an extent)
Web developer guy 😂😂😂

The main thing is competing in the app store.
Then nobody will use it

This guy’s face is negative, imagine his ideas
Haha.
Never take advice from someone who's accomplished sh!t.
For this reason im building a mobile app.
Sure, good luck with your ux and ui, buddy.
This is why you "Shouldn't listen to this " 😂…. I would just stick to What you want to do 😉😀.
bad clickbait video
Yeah because it keeps you in business.. if we dont do anything at all
This is terrible advice lol
I want to hear how he says: Devin? What are you doin' here?
