MAN! that 12gb ram would have been 24gb if you were somehow able to run MacOS on it…

i picked this is up solely for the color and installed Manjaro on it and it runs 10x faster
The laptop is great for web browsing, office, casual gaming and other non heavy tasks although the battery is still very mediocre

To me it doesn't look bad at all.. I carry around one that's only 4 gigs ram for basic work and will remote into a system I have setup for remote gaming and heavier work loads when out and about. Wonder how this one would do remoting into a gaming pc.
I have a Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 2 with a 4th Gen Celeron and got windows 10N on it and the performance is literally the same as this laptop 😂 (ps don’t get windows on your Chromebook unless you have 64GB+ cos mine has “32” (which is actually 29) and it has no storage for anything after getting drivers for it)

That's dumb. I got a 17" hp laptop with an amd 5500u. Bad deal here.
I could live with this laptop as a business/school laptop given its 1440p ips screen is basically non existent on budget gaming laptops (I have a 3070/5800h laptop with 1080p 144hz ips, great for native fhd gaming which enables lossless 144hz for a 3070. Preferable to a native 1440p screen in a gaming laptop with the 1080p having whole down scaling from 1440p using ai stuff providing good quality instead of fps when needed imo).
Actually, if I needed this for office work/gotten it for free from company or school, I would still use this for watching netflix, youtube etc instead of my own laptop. Because unlike games, you will never get similar quality to a native recording of videos. I do have a desktop with 6700xt and 1440p monitor too so I can say the down scaled 1440p on a smaller and more pixel dense 17" 1080p gaming laptop feels very similar to it in games (only).
