Can they add screens on the side for mobile gamers,.. screen sides to aim and shoot and other stuff???

The problem i have with kotlin, is that you have to deal with xml. And also there is Jetpack compose but the problem i have with jetpack compose, is that i can call a jetpack compose function from a compose function. Very limited

I would bet on flutter too for upcoming 5+ years as a new trend beside react… I guess it also compatible for writing web apps? not only native… I heard somewhere that the whole Rive app (which is animation tool) was written in flutter

Flutter does support gyrometer btw. We used it in our Final Year Project, the only problem I faced with it was it's support for AI applications.

StateofJS data shows a large increase of React developers the last few years, my guesss is that is due to mass use of React Native on mobile. I don't think Swift/Kotlin can remain viable. My company really does not want us to waste time developing apps multiple times for multiple platforms, and I totally get it. They want OOO. "One team, One codebase, One stack".

I'm using flutter since 2018, and never had the issues you are talking about after 2020, especially in performance

I don’t think he understands what flutter is how it’s fundamentally different from other cross platform technologies

A colleague of mine once said that well – if you go with cross platform, you inevitably end up with dealing with three platforms instead of two. I doubt these days it saves any effort, meaning time, meaning money to not need to pay multiple specialized developers.

I have been working in native, flutter, react native, kotlin multiplatform…and yes we always faced something which didnt work as expected, buggy, needed to do weird hacks…not even talking about outdated libraries or ending up with native workarounds.

And of all of the projects I was on in past decade, there was always at least one high level manager who was absolutely sure that putting whole “app” into a webview is the best approach. Project by project, again and again…ending up guess where? Back to native.🤷‍♂️

Trying to maintain react native apps long term, from experience, is generally more difficult than maintaining two separate codebases on Kotlin and Swift.

This is mostly due to library dependencies changing and breaking over time.
