  1. Our IT team at my company gave me a Humanscale M1O a year ago when they were moving to another part of the building…… I guess I should pull it out of my basement and swap it out for my Amazon Basic arm LOL.

  2. I havent seen much said for the VIVO, so I will chime in as that is what I am using kind of.

There is a Tall version, its almost double the price, but gives you extra adjustment for height. Without knowing exactly how tall the Monoprice you raved about gets, the Tall VIVO looks like it goes higher and lower, I dont even have mine as high as it can go. I have a 44" 3840×1080 currently raised above my Neo G9 OLED using one. It is solid as a rock, very little bounce overall, and ive not once felt like it has sunk or otherwise changed positions in the 8+ months ive been using it.

If you are doing any kind of double S-UW mounting then the VIVO is about the only option you have other than a stand mount. For $180 on Amazon (10/2024) its truly a great mount. Just remember use some elbow grease in getting any mount setup. If you have sagging then most times its a user error (seriously the reviews for nearly every arm listed here are rife with this issue)

  3. Can you do a video for the best mount to use for the 57" Samsung G9 Neo (G95NC) Super Ultra Wide Monitor? Thanks. (Both the best arm mounts to use and maybe a wall mount suggestion as well). Thanks

  4. Hi, I'm looking forward to installing this 49" on top of my two 32-curved Dell monitors. I need at least 20.5 inches under the 49" curved to be on top of my two monitors. Do you know if this arm can go tall enough? Thank you.

  5. I've had 3 Ergotrons for at least 7 years for various OLED monitors I've had over they years ranging from 48"—55" tripple setup. They have been fantastic, and at the time, they were basically the only option available. Happy there are more options these days, but I can personally vouch for the durability and capability of Ergotron HX. They make my faviorte heavy duty monitor arm.

Ergotron offers arms for every size and monitor wedight. If you had problems with the arm, your monitor was not heavy enough and you should have chosen a different model arm. I've had montiors up to 55LBS on the Ergo, and it's be fantastic.

  6. I noticed that most of these manufacturers do not offer alternative VESA plates. So you are literally stuck with whatever plate it comes with. This severely limits the Ergotron in my opinion because it only accepts 75×75 and 100×100.

  7. Hi there, I purchased the Ergotron 45-647-216 HX Desk Monitor Arm with HD Pivot for my Titan 30 inch curved wide screen monitor as the single Loctek arm couldn't support the weight of the screen. I had notice over the last few months that the screen gradually tilted downwards and I had to constantly retighten. Would the Ergotron monitor arm fit my 30inch screen? Yes, I did do some research but didn't see anything etc

  8. 4:26 actually there was a quick connect system. Screw half way top two screws into monitor and hang it on the arm. Then secure bottom screws and tighten top ones. Usually it works both for 75 and 100 mm VESA mounts, but in this case for 100 mm only.

  9. if your going to give advice then do more research, the dell monitors require spacers for vesa mounts. that pretty much come with most mounts. or are sold for dirt cheap. your way is a very poor way and cumbersome.

  10. so i just got the odyssey 57 inch, i have not got a monitor arm yet, but i definitely must get one soon. I have searched online everywhere for a solution, but everyone recommends using ergotron and using screws to stick in the joint at the base because it drops down from weight, im not buying an expensive arm that doesn't even work, anyone know if there are newer arms made for this thing?

  11. Quick question guys, the AVLT says up to 43inch tho, how are you using it for 49inch.

I just got a 49inch lg ultrawide, couldyou please recommend if I should get the avlt in the video or the one that’s heavy duty.

  12. I had the vivo mount. It lasted 3 months before my Samsung G9 weight was to much for it. I walked into to the room to find my monitor drooping. I got lucky, after that I looked at some comments about it and people were talking about how the hinge point failed on theirs also but they walked into the room to a broken monitor on the ground

  13. Not sold on the $570 monitor arm. For that price that arm monitor should move by a remote or phone app with preset memory placements, fast charge my phone, built in alexa/google home/ or something, RGB lasers and a built in toaster

  14. good review, I was all prepped to buy the HX but saw this and now going to go for the Vivo. The look is not really important as long as it does the job. Thanks for saving me 500 bucks (I need 2)!

  15. Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience with these monitor arms. It's really helpful to get a hands-on perspective. I've been considering upgrading my monitor setup, and your review has given me some valuable insights. The Model Price arm seems quite robust, but the bulkiness might be a concern for me.

I appreciate your honest assessment of the Vivo Premium arm, especially considering its budget-friendly price. It's good to know that it can handle larger monitors effectively. The AVLT arm's unique feature with USB and AUX ports is intriguing, but the setup complexity might be a drawback.

The Ergotron HX's premium quality and quick-connect system certainly catch my eye, but I'm a bit disappointed with the cable management. The Human Scale M10 sounds impressive in terms of build quality and cable management, but the price is quite steep.

Your video has been informative, and I'll definitely consider these options when I make my decision. Thanks again for sharing your findings!

  16. I just picked up a Humanscale M10. It was easy to set up. I don't have the monitor yet. Will be arriving in a few days. But I have a concern. The monitor arm seems very still. It takes a ton of pressure to push down. I adjusted the tension screw to its least still level. But it still seems incredibly stiff. Is this normal? Humanscale literature refers to their counter Bala ace mechanism. So perhaps the monitor arm will move more easily once the monitor is attached. Curious if anyone has used the M10 and experienced this same thing.

  17. I wonder if the M10 can handle a really heavy monitor like the 57" Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 ultrawide. Another YouTuber was using, I think, an Ergotron and the monitor tended to droop down (top is closer to you than the bottom) rather than be square to the desk.
