I always keep 5 watt original iPhone charger with me, and using it when I need to charge my phone overnight, or at least once a week, and use the one provided by my phone only when I need it, because it's a 120 watt charger. After 6 months, my battery health still sits at 98% with 205 full cycle of charging.

Now what should I buy? 😢

Any charging over 1c WILL degrade your battery faster. If you care about your phone at all you will avoid fast charging except in an emergency or you will have to replace it way earlier than with normal use. Aka even a Tesla mod3 killed it´s battery in 6-8 months because the owner supercharged it every day. I still have a P1000 Samsung a 7" "fablet" I bought new,still using the original battery after 14 years, it can´t do much because of no android updates, but it still works.

Are we going it need the EU to step in again to stop companies from doing their proprietary charger shenanigans.

In short : buy an Anker 100W and it should work accross every devices. Thank me later

Unnecessary complicated. Devices simply need a current limiting circuit and regular 2 wires pwm chargers. Usb-pd is rubbish. Pwm chargers will deliver up to max when demanded. Want quicker then buy bigger wattage. Stupid people just want to screw consumers.

These are all ancient technology, how about huawei sc protocol 66w low end, 88w wireless, 100w wired charging on high end model, xiaomi 120w wired charging, non of these mentioned.
