  1. My sister bought a gaming pc from Amazon for my nephew,it was all mouth and no trousers. They thought that they had done something wrong because it just kept stuttering and lagging on games and was unplayable, the lad was dismayed after waiting do long for it and they asked me to take a look. What I encountered was a huge Inwin smoked glass case lit up with red led fans and nice brushed anodised aluminium finished panels,I expected something half decent but what hid in side was an Asus a 520 Matx motherboard supporting a Ryzen 3 3200g,8gb of unbranded 2600 ram,a 350w unbranded psu and a WD 500 gb HDD, NO GPU, no Wifi or Bluetooth, all for about £750, the case looked empty!. I made her send it back and gave them a list of parts to build their own, giving them various options for each component. They got a new, half glass midi case with 6 rgb fans,(I can't remember the brand but it was good looking, nicely made and solidly too. The vendor threw in an rgb hub with remote,a trust wireless mouse and usb keyboard, all for £69👍)an Msi B550 motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600x,a big Cooler Master cooler,2 gb Samsung m2 nvme,16gb ram, plus a Crucial 500gb sata ssd, a used Evga gtx1080ti and an 850 w corsair psu for around £500,plus £11 for a windows 11 license. He is more than happy with what he's got, his mother allowed him to buy a wheel and pedals with the money they saved, I gave him a 34" curved monitor and with a bit of guidance,he's built his own pc as a bonus.Across the range of games he plays he says he's getting between 85-200 fps with high settings. The current belief that it's cheaper to buy a pre built ignores the variables, the sneaky and underhand methods of some vendors and relies on catching out those who don't read the ads properly,or have no idea what they are actually reading anyway and often it results in it being more expensive.

  2. I used to sell older custom built PCs but I was always transparent about the specs the fact they were old and NEVER listed them as GAMING PCs just as custom built PCs and stated clearly they were NOT for AAA or modern games and they were older used hardware i stated the specs right down to the generation socket type ddr type hard drive speed etc. it definitely seems these people are doing none of that and are continuing to do it because they can get away with it. If I ever even did that even by accident (which I did ONE time BY ACCIDENT as I was new to the whole thing at the time) I could get a warning of suspension of me seller account! That’s on eBay! Yet a well known and (arguably) more reputable site like Amazon pulls THIS crap?!?! Do better Amazon! Do better!

  3. My rig i use for emulator has a i5 2500k but WAAAAY better hardware than that . I didn’t pay hardly anything more than what you paid for that. My ryzen rig cost me about $450 to build and most likely performs better than that. That rig you have like my i5 2500k and core 2 quad rigs are pretty much meant for nostalgia and emulators and that’s basically it.

  4. I wish this video existed back in May 2022 when I hit "Buy" on the exact same gaming PC that you bought. I actually got an i5-2400 and GTX 650 with my PC, and I have since upgraded it to a 1 TB SATA SSD + 2 TB SATA hard drive and 16GB of DDR3.

  5. I have yet to find an online shop or site that actually sells high-end but good-looking PCs. Amazon low-end systems are usually overpriced and under-spec’d, but the high-end systems—those that could cost up to $5k—are just as hard to justify. When you compare the price of buying a prebuilt system to the cost of buying the parts and building it yourself, the difference is massive. Essentially, you're paying a huge markup just for the assembly. Not to mention, these systems are often downright ugly. A top-tier PC should be an art piece, and if it’s ugly, your entire setup is going to look off. After doing a lot of research, I can tell you: finding a good-looking Amazon PC with high-end parts that doesn’t cost $4500 to $5k is nearly impossible. And good luck finding one anywhere else—Newegg is basically selling the same stuff as Amazon. You can’t trust most marketplaces like Facebook; even Starforge has its problems. They either sell lower-end systems or are sold out. Back to Amazon, you might find the PC you want, but after reading the reviews, you’ll see that no one has received one in good condition.edit–New egg is pretty good but my point stands!

  6. I ordered a 7900xtx gaming desktop and received from amazing and it had no cpu or gpu no ram or ssd they left the 512gb nvme with windows on it and amazon wouldnt do anything they said make a police report what??????my son has been so depressed i been trying to figure out what actions i can take i saved all year to get him this he got amazing grades did every chore all year so bummed any ideas anyone?

  7. Scamazon reached a peak for me when i registered and for the first time i wanted something to buy then pop up appeared…your payment is suspicious sen us a picture of your card…yea sure scamazon…f* you

  8. With all the garbage allowed on Amazon (like fake gaming consoles and horrible bootleg cartridges), Amazon isn't going to care if they can get a cut of the profits.

  9. HUANANZHI AMD B450M /Thermaltake Smart Series 500W /Team Group MP33 M.2 2280 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4/Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200 /Ryzen 5 5500 – /AMD Radeon RX 590 GME / PARTS @ NEWEGG $413.83 with a free usb stick … windows 11 key 11 bucks to your email (usb stick comes handy for downloading 11 ) This will play WoW and CS very well at 1080P 100 fps decent settings total $478.83 with tax and delivery … doing it yourself PRICELESS

  10. i honestly see some of the scam pcs as a kind of a mixed bag, if you buy it KNOWING what youre getting into then you can obviously upgrade because its potential shoddyness, like im getting one of them scamazon bundle pcs mostly because if it works decently enough i can slowly upgrade on my own
