  1. I was buying my kids a 7 inch RCA tablet almost every Christmas. Not too bad of a tablet. My kids kept breaking them, was too slow, or battery or screen failed. I wanted a good tablet myself, went with a sale in 2022 for a HD 10 Amazon tablet. Black Friday or Cyber Monday deal. I was in love! That Christmas, same year and sale, I bought my kids and wife the Amazon HD 8. Made sure I bought kid proof cases and screen protectors for the kids. My now 12-year-old son has same tablet, same case, same screen protector. Won't go anywhere without it. My now 11-year-old Daughter has same tablet, different case, just replaced the screen protector because she cracked it. Today I asked her, I just replaced your screen protector a few months ago, why is it broken? At least the tablet isn't broken. And affordable screen protectors for Amazon Fire Tablets makes it easy to replace than the whole tablet. Not sure why my daughter always gets her stuff broken. LOL For the RCA tablets, I had about 6 broken 7inch tablets rebuilt one good. Probably have enough parts to rebuild 1 more. I gave it to my 4-year-old son. But had an old slow 10-inch RCA tablet with detachable keyboard. He really likes that one. He notices the differences and alternates from both because each one has something he favors. I do have a spare 8inch Fire tablet I may give him next Christmas. He is wearing these 2 RCA tablets out pretty quick.

  2. I've been a fan of the Amazon tablets since I bought my very first Fire HDX 7", I'm now on I think my 5th which is a Fire 10 HD Plus 11th gen and now looking to upgrade as this one is getting a bit aged and the 11 looks good so I think I'll stick with them. I've always installed the google play store and that to me makes the tablets just shy of perfect.
Thanks much for the honest review and keep the useful videos coming. 🤜🏻🤛🏼

  3. From 2Ghz to 2.2Ghz I might not see a difference from the 10 HD plus. However, an upgrade from HD 10 and below would be a significant upgrade. Cameras and resolution also take an upgrade from HD 10 plus, but from this tablet to the max 11 isn't much different. If I was heavy depending on using the tablet all the time then I would trade it, but it's more a backup and media tablet. Both tablets are still good for gaming but max 11 would be slightly better for gaming surely, screen resolution would also show in gaming use to favor the max 11.

  4. No. You have to jailbreak all of the amazon fire tablets to actually be able to do anything with it. The first step is to get add google play instead of being locked in to amazon. The second step is to remove the bloatware. And the last is the spyware and ads built itn…..ahh.. the spyware.
Yes this tablet is definitely worth it if you know or you have a friend who can jailbreak it…otherwise? NO. Also, buy a good case cover for it…or you will end up regretting it. I also recommend buying a stand for it.
Remember that this tablet will not take a normal audio plug also. So that means a new bluetooth or usb-c enabled headset.
It is VERY slim and very slippery…AT LEAST get a good case for it.

  5. Thank you so much. Question I am also wondering about using this as an E-reader. And text to speech for reading all books especially non audiobooks. Would you think this would be a good purchase for that? Thanks in advance

  6. Fantastic review, I just picked one up on sale for $150. Unheard of getting a NEW 8-core 2k resolution aluminum tablet for that price, such a steal! first thing I'll do is get rid of Fire OS, that's really the only drawback I see.
