Part 2:

Drone photography is awesome, but also risky… I’ve crashed my DJI Drone more times than I can count… maybe I need to go back to flight school?

  1. You know that DJI has a feature that allows you to load the maps and areas you want to fly and if you can not fly your drone there the drone itself will not even take off. Like it locks itself and no matter how hard you try it just doesnt take off.

  2. I've been lucky so far (knocks on wood). I've crashed a few drones, but they've all been cheaper ones that I am willing to fly recklessly to push their limits. My more expensive ones starting all the way back with my old Phantom 3 pro from 10+ years ago, up to my newest addition, the Air 3s, I have not crashed. I typically scout the area first, and also if you find yourself in a sketchy situation the BRAKE is your best friend. Most people get in a panic trying to correct it and put it further into danger pushing the wrong stick or the wrong direction. Just hit the brake, it will stop immediately and hover, let you get your bearings, relax your nerves, get out of the panic, assess the situation and THEN take the appropriate actions to safely get it out of the danger. Never panic and try and correct it because it's how almost everybody crashes them.

  3. Lmao I have the ORIGINAL mavic pro from launch going on close to 10 years now I think…. Not ONCE I have I crashed it or even hit props against anything. I fly it at least twice a week still… batteries a bit weak but flys great

  4. I wish people would stop referring to people that fly drones as pilots. If you have your certification, then maybe. Since that’s what the FAA calls it. But all drone operators should be called drone operators.

  5. Why do you have like some type of system that, how those new airbag motorcycle gear as the pilot of the bike who's trajectory is to crash the soup worn by the biker inflates like a airbag, couldn't you use that same type of system with a button no different than a door breach and detonator wood if you find yourself in a event horizon then couldn't you deploy some type of impact airbag for your thingamajigs quadcopter things??

  6. Do not buy this drone. I just received mine and am trying to get refunded and sending it back. The remote unit advertised has a built in screen but that's not what I received. The battery is supposed to be in plastic bag but it was already installed and with a charge on the drone I received. Sure looks like it was a return from someone else. Don't be fooled like I was, buy something else.

  7. I want a drone so bad but after looking at a map of the restricted flying zones of my city, I’m having second thoughts. Basically, the whole city is a no-fly/restricted zone except for a narrow strip that isn’t near or has anything scenic. I guess it’s because all the military bases and airports 😢

  8. Can’t you buy the warranty they sell. They give you a replacement no matter how it crashed or broke. Thing is you gotta wait and I probably would have a back up for the mean time… 🤷🏽
