As recent as a dozen years ago I would’ve accepted whatever I heard from the “western free press” about “north korean/iranian propaganda lies” but today I’d believe anything coming out of North Korea before I’d believe anything coming from the 10,000% lying western “media” trash.

Should also note that China has a larger population so if you break it down to per capita I think would be not much more than say the U.S. The key difference is that China is also the biggest investor of green tech, renewable energy and reforestation.

It's good strategic foresight and good leadership and governance that makes China a success. The things sorely missing in the west. I mean look at the calibre of their leaders.

The country with the most to gain in renewables is going to be the country that uses the less energy per person. The gains in renewables need to be overshadowed by reductions in usage, increases in efficiencies, waste reduction and a movement to NOT using energy. This is where the gas, oil and coal industries will fail. Any improvements to waste reduction, efficiencies and an overall energy reduction will mean less profits for these industries so they cannot bide by these principles. It is no accident that Donald Trump with his "Drill baby drill" platform was elected with the help of the oil companies. It will also speed up the transition to renewables in China and elsewhere since no country wants to be dependant on the USA for energy no more than the USA wanted to be controlled by PEC in past decades.

Another smear on China.
Citing China being the world's biggest polluter is factually correct because China is the most populous country. So if every Chinese has access to electricity China will automatically be the biggest emitter of pollutants from electricity generation. The video forgets to mention while China produces twice amount of electricity of the US but having four time the population of the US every Chinese consumes just half the electricity of every American. Both are still heavily dependent on fossil fuel for generating electricity so every American emits about twice the pollutants of the Chinese.
Accusing China overcapacity is a standard western media smear. This is because the Chinese PV modules seems to be assumed only for the consumption of China, the America and the EU. There is no need to make solar panel for the rest of the world! If the whole world is to have renewable energy then China will need to expand its production many times to cope.
Lastly the video maker blames China for the trade dispute. This is another stupid accusation because the US and the EU have put tariff on Chinese solar panel for more than a decade. This is the west's way of protecting its products continues to sell at a premium price whereas Chinese manufacturers are making solar affordable. Just like today's EV. The US and EU make EV as a niche product that must be more expensive than the ICE car of the same model or power. Chinese EVs are realistically priced and suitable and affordable by the mass.

It is a natural development that China leads the world in renewable energy. Unlike US who have massive amount of oil and gas and the EU who is rich to buy fossil fuel to generate electricity China has only coal for electricity generation in the past. To honour the maximum carbon and zero emissions China must develop the renewable energy urgently while the others, like the US and EU, can afford to go about it in a relax manner. It is really stupid to suggest China overproduces solar panel as China is still a long way off from achieving maximum carbon and/or zero emission targets.

According to the 2023 published scientific data the availability of power for solar in China is only 15.26% of the time whereas nuclear can offer 86.94%. Therefore a nation like China needs to install at least 5 times more power in solar just to match one unit of nuclear production. Even in 2024 China only manages to have the total renewable energy installations surpassing the total thermal or coal plant installations. It will be many years before can bring down the carbon emission to the declared limits! So stop being childish smearing China produce excessive solar panels!

They don't have oil.
