So you need to build a website but there’s just so many tools to choose from — Which one is the right fit for you?
Well I’ve been reviewing website builders since 2013 and in this video I’m going to share what I believe are the five best website builders right now.
No company has sponsored this video. This is my honest opinion and I’ve personally built sites with every single website builder I mentioned.
Squarespace — Best all-around website builder.
Wix — A close competitor to Squarespace. Lots of freedom.
Shopify — Great for ecommerce.
Webflow — Great for designing your theme from scratch.
Carrd — Low price. Great for simple, one-page websites.
Remember: at the end of the day it’s important to just get started.
Choose a tool, try it’s free trial and start building. You’ll discover REALLY quickly if it’s going to work for you.
And remember that there are good websties built with bad website builders and bad websites with good website builders. Writing good copy and having good photos is probably more important than the right tool.

I tried Wix on a very simple example and couldn't believe the complexity of the generated code, about 10x more than coding myself.
The new Wix Studio editor is really a huge upgrade, it feels like using Figma, and it has CMS.

Are you sure that you cannot connect the designer to the CMS in Wix the same way or in a similar way as you showed how to do it in Webflow? I have been learning Wix, and I am far from an expert, and have dabbled in the cms features that they have, and I am fairly certain that it is very similar to the demonstration that you showed for Webflow at 14:00. I understand this couldve been a featured they added or updated since this video was created but could you provide more clarification on the difference?
have you ever reviewed oxygen?
Very helpful!!
Can someone recommend a good (maybe free) AI website builder?
Thank you for not coming off like every other reviewer as a paid ad.
what an amazing, helpful and honest video!
Hi, curious where Framer fits in, especially since there are a lot of videos comparing Framer vs Webflow. Is there a reason you didn't include Framer in your video?
Carrd is exactly what I was looking for and couldn’t find. Thank you!
Dreamweaver? Dynadot? There's also alot of free or independent web or desktop drag n drop HTML builders that arent hosts, but give you the code to just upload and publish to your host.
