ALL My Blogging Recommendations (courses I’ve taken, my blogging schedule, income reports, etc):

You really don’t need much money to start a blog, especially right away! I always say to start with the least amount of money possible and then invest more and more after you start making an income.

These are the non-negotiables that I believe you NEED when starting a blog. So excited for you to start your blog!

  1. I actually don't have a laptop (always use my work computer). However, I know I need one to kick start my blog. What do you recommend for a beginner who is very serious about starting an ongoing successful blog?

  2. I'm wondering where or what area you find is the biggest struggle with growing your blog from ground up? I'm gathering that its making content? What is the most time consuming?

  3. Did you pay for WordPress? Like the WordPress premium? Or just use the free version? I didn't hear you talk about that specifically. I understand paying for BlueHost….but what about Word Press?

  4. First of I’m a new subscriber here now🙋🏻‍♀️ and I just wanna say thank you for your time and energy to input this video, I appreciate it💗 I’m looking into starting a blog and I love your real ness and energy and plan to save up and take your courses in the near future💖 I agree with another commenter requesting a video on the legal aspects and when to w all that, also about the privacy and terms category u see on the bottom of the blogs a little in dept about that pls cause I’m not tech savvy but ofc I will also reach out to word press I believe u said if I want more on it

  5. Do not like wordpress. I forgot that i had tried it before years ago and when I went back I was reminded why i didn’t like it. Don’t like their templates/themes nor the set up and editing. 🙁

  6. Sis, I'm sorry but this is cap! I've spent more than $200 on my blog already. Yea you have a wordpress theme, hosting, and now your adding courses. Some courses alone cost $100. Like really? And then it depends on the type of blog you're starting.

  7. I love all your videos and I’m planning on starting a blog soon. I’m only 17 and the only computer I have is a Chromebook my high school gave me. Should I invest in getting my own MacBook? Thank you for all the great tips!!

  8. At what point did you spend money on the legal bundle for your privacy policy, disclaimer, terms, and conditions, etc.? When do you need these on your blog? Is it worth it to spend a ton of money on these? My fear is not doing something "legally" and then having my site shut down or something. But I am also just starting out.

  9. First off, THANK YOU!!!! 🙏🏾😌 for sharing this info with us! My question, can you do a video on any legal action we might need to take if any??!! Early out starting a blog….. like when should we get LLC’s, how do we pay taxes??!! Etc etc ….. bc I don’t like to play with the irs lol 😝 they be serious!!

  10. I am a junior Mechanical Engineering Student and have watched almost every single video about how you grow and maintain your successful blog/business and fully intend to save up for your Pinterest Strategy and Blog Strategy courses <3 I love how real you are about it and how inspiring you are

  11. Watching you and seeing your enthusiasm is energizing; I am 60, at a crossroad in my life, and need to produce income. I started watching YouTube videos on selling on eBay and Poshmark and somehow Ianded here. Then, while watching your video, I went to your website and wow, it’s awesome over there! Thank you for the great content here; I think I will dip my toes into the blogging world, but first I have to go watch your video on your website on how to organize my garage (seriously!). I wish you the best on your continued success, especially on your hoseflip venture. 🙂

  12. Please keep these blogging videos coming, Sophia! I remember asking you, after what I think was the very first time you talked about blogging, if you'd be doing more. I've been following your decor side ever since, and just found these new blogging videos! Have learned a lot already, and I'm interested in your two courses.

Love your business enthusiasm and determination–it really comes through in these videos! Look forward to many more…so inspiring!😊

  13. Hi Sophia, I'm watching some of your blogging related videos. Do you have any suggestions on how to write privacy policies, terms of use or disclaimers. I've googled these topics and have begun to write them but it seems a little confusing for just a blog not a website what is your recommendation to take care of these kinds of pages. Thanks

  14. I just started my blogging journey yesterday and I am SO thankful that I found your videos you've already helped me so much! I've already purchased the Blogging guide and I'm really looking forward to purchasing your course!! I love the fact that you go into detail and that your videos have length and aren't full of edits. They are really easy to watch and learn from.

  15. I am interested to know – do you diversify your traffic sources? At the moment my traffic is almost entirely coming from Google and Pinterest but I don't want to keep all my eggs in one basket. Is it worth pursuing traffic from facebook and twitter? Is there another traffic source I don't know about? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. xxx

  16. You really are on a roll with these videos! So incredibly helpful. I was wondering if you could do a video about how to get people to click/engage with Pinterest posts. I have a decent amount of views on my Pinterest (for 3.5 months) but ya not so many clicks. I totally understand if you cover this in the course though. Been thinking about getting it! Thank you, Sophia and the team!

  17. Great tips! When I started out, I couldn't afford a blog theme but I stumbled upon this really good one that was free… which is STILL my theme until this day where I am now making money off my blog. I still don't know when or if I'm willing to change my theme since I'm pretty happy with what I have right now. Luckily, I had coding skills to make it look better and not-too-bad graphic design skills for it. Sometimes if you find a good free or very affordable blog theme, customizing it to your vision can still be possible if you have the skills!

Sophia, for a blogging topic that you can cover, can you please go through the best tips on how to grow a community with your blog and how to engage with your community?

  18. Could you make a video about finance tracking for blogging? How do you organize it and keep track throughout the months and years of your monthly and yearly income. Do you use excel or website? I hope you understand my question.😆

  19. I would like you to do a video about time management for your blog, I took your courses so not about how you plan the content but how you organize your day to get things done for example, how much times does it take you to write one blog, which platforms do you use and how things like that!

  20. I purchased your course bundle and I LOVE it. So helpful. I have been trying launch my blog for like 2 months. I’m almost there. I’m stuck on this email list stuff and my shop my favorites page. I may just remove them from the site until i fully understand how to set up an email list and products page. I feel like once i get through the Pinterest course i’ll feel good with blogging itself which is the important thing. I also opted to get the legal bundle of 3 you recommend. I feel like no one really comments on if you need permission to link to other sites and products when your not an affiliate. If you could address that it would be great. Like a video on what is okay for bloggers to do, what is not. Like to avoid getting into legal trouble. You cover photos well, but linking items and mentioning other people i am unclear as to whether you need permission or not. Once i finish your courses, i will take the affiliate marketing and email courses you recommend. Then i feel like i’d be in a good spot to just see how i do for a bit. But your course is great i would highly recommend to anyone to get the concept down for beginners for sure! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

  21. I found you on here then bought your courses Sophia – you really go into depth and it makes such a difference! It’s also so much nicer watching a long video where you actually talk rather than one which is really edited and choppy like a lot of the others I’ve seen. I just started my blog a couple of months ago after blogging on insta for a couple of years – I’m hoping with consistency I will be able to get my husband out of the military and home with us… not sure I have the Pinterest stuff nailed but I’ll keep going 🙈🤣
