  1. I can’t do it. I’m sure your info is great and it would add a lot of knowledge to me but your valley girl talk is significantly off putting and I jumped at 6 minutes. (Meaning how you constantly go up in your tone at the end of almost every sentence, like everything you say is a question). You’ll keep SO many more viewers if you learn to speak properly and you’ll appear much more professional.

I know I’ll catch hate because fans will ignore what I’m saying and just jump on me but that’s fine, this message is to you, not them, and it’s not meant in anger or insult. Constructive criticism is hard to take but I say it with the sincerest intentions.

  2. Congrats 😊 But 1mil per year is almost entire my country's population 😂😂😂😂 Here we will be happy to get hosting coverage 😂 One of the poorest and most corrupt countries in all Europe 😂😂😂

  3. Hey everyone, I have a question for those already experienced in blogging / starting a business.
    Any help greatly apreciated!

I'm a drum teacher with a unique approach to teaching.
I have Youtube and Insta with some followers, and some products on Payhip.

I want to centralise and structure what I do so that
    a) I can be discovered,
    b) my community has a way of going down the rabbit hole with me when they find me
and c) my teaching systems and products nestle nicely into each other, and work to cross-promote each other.

Is a blog a useful tool to bring people to this kind of endeavour? And if so, why?

  4. Just want to say thanks for putting out this free content! I hope to take your classes once I make some $ and then invest back into the blog. I'm just starting out, and haven't published yet, but I'm getting there! Excited for this journey and having fun in the process!

  5. Hi Sophia, can you tell me if I should hire a web designer for my blog if I have attempted it twice now and get stuck and give up? Where should I go to do this and what should I expect to spend, plus how long do you think it would take?

  6. Hi Sophia, I really want to start a blog but feel most of the niches I'm passionate about are over saturated. I have experience in health specifically strength training, personal finance tips for woman in their 20s, traveling on a budget, and maintaining health romantic relationships. To avoid the "broad lifestyle blog" no no a lot of creators warn against, I was thinking of developing a blog that is generally about how 20-something women can "level up" their lives and build the future of their dreams. This would give me the freedom to write about my aforementioned passions, and perhaps test out different types of content before niching down further. Is this a good strategy or do I need to niche down before starting the blog? Thanks!

  7. I have had to send a few cease and desist orders. When your photos and words are being copied, you know you are doing something right. – About 85% of my traffic is female, so I thought Pinterest would be a good source, but I only get about 5% of my traffic from them. I am thinking of trying TicToc. About taxes, I just want to clarify that when first starting out, if your revenue was equal or lower than your net income, they you usually don't need to pay taxes. For example, if your business had $5000 in revenue, but you had $5,100 in expenses, which means your net income was $-100, then you usually don't owe taxes. I am not a tax expert so don't hold me on that, but that is usually how it works.

  8. Hey! So what would be the best and smartest way to use a current photo of a celebrity? For example if I wanted to talk about a celebrity who tried a new hairstyle, could I use his/her photo as the featured image without getting into trouble? Would putting their name on a caption make it ok? Thanks in advance!

  9. Soph Question you said you can not use other people's photos?
    Meaning…..
You can't go on google or pinterest and use any other those public types of photos right?
you need permission from whoever's took those picture?

  10. My blog will be a diary that follows my online business and so I want both to make money and feed eachother, along with other social media and online offerings~ funneling, I think it's called 😊 edit to add: Thanks SO much Sophia for your great videos- you have so much amazing info and are so generous to share here!

  11. One of the first things to do after creating your blog is to create all the social media accounts. You don't have to post/use them yet, but you want to claim your blog/company name on them. When adding your website url this gives you links, these are also viewed as trust signals. Google knows any legit website will have socail media acounts, plus they're free.

  12. Your point about social media is a good one. I'm really struggling to get a following on Instagram, but I've heard that while Tiktok is good to get a lot of followers, not a lot of them convert to paying customers or traffic to other socials/websites. How was your experience?

  13. Working on a blog that talks about caring for a child with juvenile diabetes. How do I get traffic from my website to my stay store. And thank you do much for staying consistent. Pinterest makes do much more sense for my blog than any other platform.

  14. You may already have videos for this, I’m super new into learning how to start a blog, but would love to know more about how you broad your can be within your niche for content. If I want to start a home and fashion blog, are these topics too different and do I need to creat two separate blogs?

  15. When I am struggling with my blog, I try to go back to the mindset I had when I was starting it. Things like watching Youtube Videos, reading, planning, and that kind of thing. It's a long haul, but definitely pays off!
