  1. hey im wondering if you could do a video revolving around apple home vs google home? im having a tough time deciding. im using an iphone but i really like google home and assistant (sorry siri) so maybe could you share some points you were considering when you chose google > apple. thanks!! really enjoy ur content

  2. I do the same in the morning. I hate mornings, but whenever i turn the alarm off, Alex’s turns my TV on, tells me the day, the date, the current temperature inside, the current temperature outside, the weather forecast, whats on my calendar, plus a couple business related things

  3. Marques I’d love to do all this but being a privacy freak I don’t want the world watching my life … you’re obviously (!) a superstar so how do you manage tech privacy controls? It seems companies are moving in the direction of selling products with no actual security features but then offering a subscription for that (yes I’m looking at you Netgear routers with no privacy unless you buy a subscription to Armor) which is a big NO NO for me …

  4. Bro, get the smart light switches instead of bulbs. The bulbs are extremely glitchy and on occasion (year or so) they can all just go off and then you will have to do the whole set up. Switches are much more reliable and you don’t have to worry about getting over priced bulbs. The only downside is that you won’t be able to change light bulb colors.

  5. The Nest thermostats are pretty terrible. They still use internal batteries even though they are hardwired and as the batteries fail so will your hvac. I’ve seen many houses with feeezing pipes because the Nest failed without warning, including my own. My Dad owned an HVAC company and refused to use Nest because of my research. The engineers at Nest even told me it’s not ideal.

  6. So I've looked but haven't come across anything, but has he done a recent video on the best smart lock for 2024? Does anyone have any recommendations on something reliable?
