The world of robotics is advancing pretty quickly. There’s been a flurry of robotics companies popping up from nowhere with impressive offerings. But what are the best robots around today? And why is this happening all of a sudden? We’ve already covered Figure AI before so let’s see what other robots are out there.

  1. A couple of corrections:

On the point of Astribot claiming that the Tesla Bot demo was faked, Elon did in fact openly say that it was being tele-operated at the time. So apologies for missing that.

There’s also an image of Andrej Karpathy used instead of Milan Kovac.

    Enjoy the video!

  2. I think should be developed more realistic artificial body parts or implants to help humans with disabilities more than another intelligent species ( which will eventually become mechanical underclass Slaves)

  3. Why did the Kick the Unitree Robot? People are already abusing the machines. If you equip them with AI intelligent as their ability to develop emotions increase. When shall day come when Robot strikes back in Self defense?

  4. Uh, I'm sorry but these all seem entirely useless. The promise of robots is 70 years old and as of yet, nothing has really come through as useful in a positive way. Yes, we have automated systems and such but really why do we need it? We already have the ability to do everyday things and to do acts of amazing creativity.

  5. Few clips are just cosplay actors. They mix display bot and human together. Should really just keep it on clips that you know are robot with 100% positively. So people can see current tech.

  6. I don't know HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE TO MENTION THIS, NOR WHY I HAVE TO EVEN MENTION THIS LMFAO!!! 2:55 is a woman in a suit known for being really good at robotic movement.
Dude sorry but I gotta unsub, that is the most embarrassing shit I've ever seen from a tech channel, you can even see her printed "robot" costume hanging from her figure.

  7. I always loved robots! My favorite books are by Isaac Asimov, and Terminator 2 is my most favorite movie of all time. I would love the world of robotics to advance, so that they become more commonplace amongst the population, and help people out.

  8. There have been no real improvements to robots besides some minor changes to programming. The real problems, the insurmountable ones, have to do with liability, logistics, market percentage/presence, and the rollout. We'll revisit this in another 5 years and these we will most likely be in the same place.

  9. All of this is clever marketing tricks to drive the stock prices (aka fraud). The technology to drive real household robots simply doesn't exist. All we have now is very complex statistical algorithms, that's all.

  10. The motivation for the android taking out the trash with an I Q of 140, speaks every language, has access to a near infinite knowledge, plays any insturment perfectly including improvisation, can write original stories, etc. and what do we want? Someone to change the cat litter, if pets are still a thing. What happens when your plastic pal is your best and only friend? Instead of talking kver the days events just let the robots do the talking, so much better than what you were going to say. Some future.

  11. Why do metal-plastic robots have breasts modeled on the fantasies of 10 year old boys? And is that the mental age of those who want them?

Robots were imagined by 50s sci-fi writers, nobpody then thought any of it was or would be real, it was simply an imaginative exercise. Then animation and special effects made it all appear to be possible, and since then people with an insecure grasp of reality, like playboy Musk, have been trying to make sci-fi real, as the planetary ecosystem that sustains all 8 billion of us is collapsing, and the last thing that's needed is wasting billions on 'space' travel and robots, as if there is a future.

  12. I need one to be my maid bc I can't be bothered to clean. 🤣 But with all these "smart cars" collecting data and selling it to the insurance company, I'd be afraid to know what data an autonomous robot would be collecting. I mean, I'd feel like I'd have a North Korean-level info spy telling on me with everything I do. I mean our health insurance might skyrocket up if you are used the toilet too much or collect all the data of all the donuts your eating to tell the health insurance that you are a "high-risk" person to insure. If there's something "good" developed, you can be sure someone is thinking of a way to use it for evil.

  13. Most people are more interested in household robots for obvious reasons, but factory robots had been a thing for decades, and the jump from dumb factory robots to AI driven ones that can self correct mistakes and adapt to situations are much easier to build than some robot that know how to do household chores across the millions of different homes and their layouts. Factories provide a closed and unified environment that require little training. Companies will line up to save every dollar they could
