I get so excited about running this survey every year and this time was more surprising than ever. If you see these numbers and you’re making a similar amount then stick with it! But if you’re putting in the work and still not seeing results then watch this video to figure out what’s going on and exactly how to fix it:

Have a question or idea for a video? Or maybe you want your site or a specific article reviewed. Let me know here:

Check out Project 24:
Project 24 is our membership program that teaches you how to work toward replacing your current income with income from websites and YouTube channels in 24 months.

Also check out our stupid fast and crazy functional WordPress theme, Acabado.

Also, our current recommendations for blogging, video, and podcasting gear, software, and other resources can always be found at

Have you seen us on Instagram yet? Add us to see what we’re doing behind the scenes:

Project 24 is a product of Income School LLC. Results mentioned are not typical. The trademark “Project 24” refers to the goal of some people to create a successful business in 24 months, but is not a promise or guarantee of that success. Many online businesses fail because, like any business, it requires hard work, skill, and dedication. 1. Sir I am stay home mother in india..I have to take care of my son since there is no one to take.i am trying to make money through blogging. I purchased domain and working on it for international audience but I am still skeptic that does it really work

  2. can AI impact blogging in future? no, not for relevant information. if apple launches a new product, information available in apple website is sole knowledge base for AI, AI cannot experience and product and write a view on it, AI cant visit a place and describe how it is changes for human to human experience. AI cant impact blogging until it get ability to 'feel', which will never happen. it can give in sights but not much more than that. search engines must also work on algorithms to evade AI generated content and rank genuine content better.

  3. I have a celebrity blog that I haven't used in a while. But, I have a question. If I want to monetize it, will the Adsense application be rejected citing plagiarism? Because when I have to write about celeb bio, it will have their career, names of movies, history, awards and nominations, controversies etc. These are facts and won't change, right? So could I be flagged down for plagiarism and Adsense approval rejected??

  4. These are valuable insights. However, are you capturing the full picture? There are millions of bloggers out there who do not earn a penny. Your statistics are based on a biased sample – the ones who actually make money. Therefore, they can be misleading. Don't get me wrong, I love your channel and that you are giving hope to the bloggers. Just felt I needed to point out to this fact.

  5. In Philadelphia they imposed a $300 yearly "special tax" on those who make money through blogs. I think it's because the bitter, crusty old boomers who are in office just can't stand the thought of average people that are younger than they are using technology and their brains rather than "good old-fashioned" manual labor and slaving away for years.

  6. I feel hopelesss. A gaming blog, 71 articles, I used seo, I use catchy titles, I have 400 backlinks at least. I use carious social media. I have less than 10 views per day. Similar web says I get 5k per month which is nonesense google says 300 and another website I used says 3k. 5k sounds right. it 9 months old, i dont understand. 🙁 🙁

  7. I'm so grateful to have stumbled upon this video. I have not started blogging, but I am seriously thinking about it. I've watched and read a lot of content about this but most of the content sounds unrealistic and very subjective. This video was a great help. Thank you and everyone who participated in the survey for these specific results. I subscribed.

  8. Is "average" earnings using the median or the mean?
If we're using the mean, it can be skewed like crazy from a couple heavy hitters and not be a very representative number…

  9. 00:00 Bloggers earn an average of $2.26 per thousand page views

02:08 More traffic on website leads to higher earnings

04:10 Having more content on your website leads to higher earnings, but there is a sweet spot.

06:06 Diversifying monetization leads to higher earnings

08:13 Despite concerns about blogging's decline, earnings per post have increased and AI has had little impact so far.

10:11 AI will force us to adapt, but in good ways

11:56 Blogging is not a high-risk business model

13:44 Blogging can earn you money for years to come

  10. I have been using AI to come up with writing prompts. I still write everything myself, but GPT has helped me brainstorm like crazy. I'm still waiting for my adsense to be approved i just started blogging (been writing for years in other capacities) but I think we're golden! Thank you for this video!

  11. He doesn't show the traffic and he lumps websites with 100 to 500 post together. This is different than the last two years and makes me wonder what they're hiding. I hear traffic is down 6% from last year. If that's all it is best to be up front about it
