  1. Really helpful video! Defining my mission statement and focusing on how I want to be perceived is something I hadn't considered enough. Time to get intentional about my online presence!

  2. Sorry to join the conversation a year and a half later. I think that personal brand has to begin withing the place you are at the moment, your current job for example.. your university (if you´re younger). It doesn´t matter how good you portrait yourself in social media if it is not true. Think of it as brand positioning.. when you leave the room and people starts talking.. thats your personal brand. The big challenge here is how to tell the world all those good things you have to make you desirable for a new job.. a new promotion.. At this time and moment if you go out and build your personal brand over nice thoughts.. people will find out sonner or later is just a good fiction story.. not what you really are as a person.. and as an employee…

  3. Perpelexed by the negative comments, but a lot of what is said here does make sense. I think the key takeaway that is missing is authenticity, without it – the “brand” that is being constructed is probably better suited to a CV rather than a personal reputation. Do what you do well, and your natural “audience” or tribe will follow.

  4. Interesting comment section here. People want freedom. I'd take this video as a gem to be used in the professional world to communicate your self efficiently.
Just let that self be authentic♥.
