I have had an EV (VW ID.4 Pro S) for a couple of months now and wow what an elation it has been. Every EV owner I talk to say the same thing: there is NO GOING BACK! Once you taste the smooth driving (there is no gear in an EV), the power (0-100km in 4.8 sec.), the bigger space and comfort inside (there is no bump for the non-existent driveshaft running along the floor base), the eerily silence that allows you to enjoy music like never before, the rear wheel drive that allows for these incredible tight turn radius, just for that new driving feel, there is no comparison. I park it in the street so I use only public chargers and this has not been a problem at all and is so cheap (cost me an average of $8.00 instead of $80.00 it used to be for my old car). Yes it is a luxury but so worth it!
Thanks for the advice
Now that the incentives are eliminated and taxpayer money spent on chargers will go away ICE vehicles keep getting more attractive! About time that the adults are back in charge and not climate change warriors!
Get a horse! That’s what you and all the nay sayers remind me of…. I have a Bolt EUV and it’s best car I’ve ever owned or leased after 30 years of very nice Hondas. The driving experience of driving an EV is just so much better than a gas car. So, I guess it’s just part of progress where some people want to hang onto the past. So hang on to your ICE and draw viewers to your video with your negativity and all I can say is that I’m So Happy that I’m able to experience an electric car in my life time of 77 years. Your wrap up was how much you like EVs so we have that in common. So yes, there are some issues with EVs, like any technology, but the goods far outweigh the bads. I clicked on your video… if we had YouTube in 1908 when the first model T’s were rolling out of factories… we’d all be caring for our horses.
I will not need any .
Only way EVs can replace gas cars if a network of electric trolley lines to keep them fed with electracy are built across America. Never will happen. No EV future.
No. 1 reason for staying away from EVs: they are politically desired.
Just get a Hybrid and you get the best of both worlds.
Have an EV👍
I use my friends EV for a week while on vacation, what a fcking nightmare. OMG i cant be an EV owner, im so sorry and to each their own but the mileage is terribe, charging it was miserable and waste of time and the fact that i had to spent 2+ hours in a charger was the worst experience of my life.

Biggest problem is listen to people who don't own one tell you how bad they are…..even though you're very happy with yours
I will not buy a pure EV. My next vehicle will likely be an EREV.
The gas mileage of my ICE car plummets when the weather is bad. Why would an EV be different?
I never trust EVs ever!
I have ev from high end car, I give it back due to tires only gooodfor 10000 miles .Never going to buy EV.
I rather the diesel engine thanks
It’s a new technology. You think gas powered cars didn’t face challenges when they were invented? They didn’t even have paved roads back then.
I dont know what country you are talking about. For Sweden what you say is not at all true. I have been driving EV for 7 years, and I have experience! For example tires, I know that you are just serving lies. I think that you should do what you should really excercise some investigation that is not "fuelled" from the fossil fuel companies.
There are SO many incorrect facts in this video. Just 10 minutes of research would be enough to actually educate people properly. Such a shame EVs have so much hate. 😢
I would never buy an EV
I love my family and the planet too much.
I've had my EV for 2 years now, absolutely love it….. Not even close to a nightmare at all, don't know what you're talking about…..
whenever I see information like this I look to see who the sponsor is. Sounds like it is sponsored by fossil fuels companies. Ive had my Chevy Bolt for 5 years use public charging since I live in a condo. The worst public charger is EVGO they never maintain their chargers. Yes these issues are real but I would never ever go back to internal combustion auto.
Good video, but I'm afraid your prediction on Electric in 8 years time was way off, by then nobody will want one !!!!!!
EVs are the future, and for most people, the future is now.
This is a dumb video. I only got through the first 3 minutes and quit. When you buy an EC, or any car, you need to use your brain. None of the complaints about public chargers apply if you have a Tesla. Since Tesla sells more EV that the next 10 brands combines, the description for this 90% that buy Tesla doesn't apply…. My first hand experience is just plug it in, never had a bad charger, never couldn't find a charger and the cost are the lowest. On a trip drive up, plug in charger, go get lunch, come back to car, remove charging plug and drive away. Unless I am on a log trip, greater that 300 miles, charging is done at home and it cost me 3 cents a mile… does this description sound different from this video, yes.
FEVs and FJB. 🔥🖕🇨🇳
Thanks much!
Total misrepresentation, I own 2 electric vehicles, and your representation is misleading . I can only conclude that you have been paid off.
I bought a 2015 nissan leaf in August of 2016 it only had 18,750 miles and I have had it almost 9 yrs I paid 10,900.00 it was well worth the money and I still have 10 of the 12 battery bars it's got 88,500 miles on it now only 1 set of tires no brakes as of today I love my leaf
Summary statement in the video: "EVs are a ticking time bomb." Let us count the ways…
problems with EVs is less control over the car, depends on working software, depends on working electronics to open door, depends on working touchscreen controls, lack longevity, less control over simple controls due to no knobs, too heavy, a fire hazard in the garage, battery fires hazard, battery operation is not consistent, unpredictable performance for traveling, crash barriers does not support the extra weight of car and will go through crash railings.
How much exxon mobile paid you? 🙂
EVs have less things that can go bad.
I'm based in the UK, I don't have access to home charging, I work nights, I don't have any form of bank card nor do I have a technical phone because I don't know how to use them. The infrastructure where I live is near nigh non existent, public charging here in the UK, public charging is extremely expensive, I currently run a 2011 Smart ForTwo diesel, I live in the centre of town and people are selfish when it comes to parking, as long as they are parked, they don't care about parking sensibly, sometimes I park 10-15 minutes walk from home because that's as close as I can get, but my car costs around £17 a week for my 300 mile weekly commute, an electric Smart ForTwo would cost £13,75 a day as they only have a 75 mile range, I can achieve around 600 miles to a tank of diesel. The cost of even a used electric vehicle is way too expensive, I'm a working person, I earn a relatively good wage, but even a Smart electric is still well over £10,000, public charging can only be paid for with credit card, I don't have any form of bank card, I'm not credit worthy because I pay everything with cash, I don't use a technical phone, I don't know how to work them, a phone to me is for making and receiving phone calls, I still have my 29 year old Nokia, it's easy to use, still works, needs charging twice a week, I understand how to use it, and new vehicles only have display screens, again I don't understand them, as an older person who only used a computer for the first time in May 2024 and I still struggle with using YouTube, I don't know how to do anything else on a computer or what else can be done on a computer, screens, credit cards, technical phones, I'm lost, I don't have a clue, with my diesel car, I go to a service station, fill my car with diesel and pay for it with cash, it's not made complicated in any way and I have controls I can use without taking my eyes away from the road ahead
The biggest problem is like everything else, too complicated, they should've started off with a simple EV, a battery and electric motor that goes forward and backwards, kind of like an oversized golf cart, but they made them too expensive too complicated. And how about designing them with interchangeable batteries, you pull into a battery station it pushes one battery out and another one in and off you go. This would also eliminate the problem of battery degradation.
If you get into an accident and the electronics shorts out, lots of luck on the repair bill. Also, as the car reaches ten years and the big battery is getting close to needing replacement, thats $5.000.
Problems for non-Tesla EV owners
Up voted for the comedy value. "I don't hate EVS. I just well, hate EVs". Golden.
This is a guy who never owned an EV.
There are Teslas with 400k miles that are still on the road. My EV tires wear just a much as my gas car did. You can buy a Tesla adapter and charge at a Tesla charger but CCS chargers are getting better and more abundant.
You can buy EV's for the same price as gas cars today, the Bolt, Equinox and Tesla Model 3 and Y, etc.
Gas cars are three times more prone to fires than EV's and the maintenance on my EV for the first 150k miles is rotate the tires and change the cabin filter.
I charge my EV from my paid of PV, in the last eight years it's cost me under $50 for charging and I didn't have to spend time going to gas stations and filling up. Plug in at night, the next morning 250 plus miles range.
My main Problem.
If I had an EV i would eventally drive away while the car still plugged to the charger.
You forgot to mention they spontaneously combust
Just bought my first EV.
.Way better than ICE. All the negatives ive always heard about EVs im slowly figuring out are a bunch of canards.. i would feel comfortable buying one used with over 100k miles on it. They last longer, cheaper to maintain and a lot of fun to drive. I paid 41.5k out the door on my 2026 AWD Tesla model Y (juniper) after all the state and federal tax incentives. A great value imo. Ive had it for a month and im still impressed. Just buy one already ..
