  1. I tried the Soundcore By Anker H30i. They seemed nice but it was very clear that the Bluetooth connection made the music sound compressed and muffled. When using the included cable, they sounded better, but the cable was very flimsy.

  2. I tried both the q30 and sony 720N and here's what I found. The q30 has excellent build quality, the buttons are so easy to navigate and the ear cup and interior padding is great so you don't feel the hardware pressing against your ear. Software has a lot of functions you can even do your own custom EQ and it's very easy to use. However they are for people with a really big head! I literally had to wear mine with a rolled-up sock under it. And for this price point that's ridiculous.

The Sony seem to have a much better sound quality for me personally as I'm using it mostly for audio books. The noise canceling is a little bit better but the build quality is horrible. At almost double the price of the q30s, there is no padding on the interior of the ear cup. There is only a small piece of the thinnest foam possible. So if you have a regular ear that is not recessed, the hardware will actually be pressing into the upper part of the fold of your ear. I literally had to wear them backwards in order for it to work but then the sound is not canceled out as well. Also the padding on the ear cup is really subpar. Lastly the software is really confusing. It's not easy to find amd switch the equalizer.

I am literally 50/50. With both scheduled to be returned.

If the soundcore had a smaller fitting headband, slightly better noise canceling and less weight I would say go for those for sure.

  3. I got Space One because phone calls are a must and Space One has best phone calls in its class. A lot of headsets SUCK at calls in outdoor environments. If I prioritized music, Sony Wh 720 beats Space One. More bass and punch for music. I would have taken the Sony but for the lower noise reduction on calls in the Sony. But if you're not worried about noise reduction, the Sony mic is actually very good just more background noise for the listener.

  4. Listening to this on my edifier w820nb plus. The ambient sound is non existent unless the sound is 10 cm from the earphones and the Noise cancelation picks up winds and amplifies it. Either mine are broken or bugged. However, i will be returning them. The sound was great tho.

  5. I bought the Anker Soundcore Space One for my wife and she loves it. I own a pair of Sony XM4's and the noise cancellation on the Space Ones isn't too far off the Sony's. The Sony's cost considerably more.

You get some nice features for the price too. (Auto stopping music, covering right ear cup to reduce volume and turn on transparency mode) No touch and swipe controls but they they only cost around $100.

If you're looking for a noise cancelling headphones that's a great value I highly recommend you check these out.
